Are you Ready to Strike?
According to Harvard University Political Scientist Erica Chenoweth,

non-violent campaigns are twice as likely to be successful as violent ones.
Also, her research found that
every time a non-violent campaign had the active participation of at least 3.5% of the population, it was successful.
That's all it takes: 3.5% of us. About 11 million of us.

We're not saying it's going to be easy. We worry we will lose our jobs and be unable to pay the rent or put food on the table if we miss work. This is why we need to build our mutual aid networks first. This is why donating to your local food bank is one of the donation suggestions on this site.

But it is what is necessary to bring about peaceful change in this country. So please go to
https://generalstrikeus.com/ and sign up to be counted amongst those ready to strike. When we get close to the 11 million number, the organizers will start to call on us to come into the streets. They don't want us to get impatient and start striking when there isn't the support of that 3.5% behind us yet. So in the meantime, protest, call, and donate! Connect with mutual aid networks in your community so you know where to go if you need help or can give it. Learn tools for de-escalation and bystander intervention. Get ready. The time is coming when we will all need to take to the streets. Get some comfortable, supportive shoes ready to go!
